Plovdiv

transportation: (March 2005)
from Blagoevgrad: cost:10 lv. Two buses everydays at 6.30 am and 2.30 pm. The trip takes about 4 hours. Buses arrive at Yug Station in Plovdiv (15 min walk to hotel Bulgaria)
Plovdiv to Burgas: cost: 11 lv. From Yug station: Four buses a day and two different compagnies: 6.45, 8.55, 15.30, 18.55. The trip takes about 4 and a half hours.

Accomodation: (March 2005)
Update from the Rough guide: Hotel Bulgaria is now a 3 star hotel.
B&B between Lamartine's house and the Roman theater: 70lv/night in an old style house. Nice hosts. Some English is spoken.

Restaurants: (March 2005)
Gusto: opposite Hotel Bulgaria, american style cuisine. Relaxed atmosphere, reasonnable prices.
Trajdanski club (Old town):large rooms, good food, good price. 25/30 years old clientel. English menu available and some English is spoken.
